Biographical / Historical / Organizational Sketch:  The TSUD Faculty Council advised the president on matters pertaining to faculty interests and academics.  Each College elected representatives and officers of the Council.  The Faculty Council served as the most significant mechanism by which faculty fulfilled its shared governance role.

Scope / Content Note:  Documented Faculty Council meetings.  The collection contains information such as time and date of the meetings, the agendas of each meeting.  Faculty members discussed various ways to resolve problems, voted on various issues, proposed new agendas, and introduced new members.  Additional material consisted of various examples of handbooks and bylaws from other major universities, written correspondence between faculty members and various agencies, proposal reports, and resolutions.
