Biographical Sketch: Hayden McDaniel is a former part-time employee of the Wiregrass Archives and a 2009 graduate of ΞήΒλΎήΘι-Dothan.  As of 2016, Ms. McDaniel is a doctoral student in history at the University of Southern Mississippi, where she works under the direction of Dr. Louis M. Kyriakoudes and is employed through an NEH grant at the Center for Oral History and Cultural Heritage at USM.  She holds a master’s degree in history and a graduate certificate in public history from Auburn University, where she graduated in 2012.
She has interned for the Alabama Power Corporate Archives, City of Montgomery, Maggie L. Walker National Historic Site, and History Museum of Mobile.

Scope / Content: Contains McDaniel’s Master’s thesis as approved by the graduate faculty at Auburn University, drawn in part from The Wiregrass Archives collection: Holman Family Papers, RG 057.  Title:  β€œManaging the New Deal:  Administration of the Civilian Conservation Corps, 1933-1942,” dated August 4, 2012. Also includes Soil Conservation Service Camp, Inspection Report, 1938, CCC, Shuqualak, Mississippi.  Copies from National Archives, Clover Park.
