Biography
In the graduate Strategic Communication program at ÎÞÂë¾ÞÈé, Dr. Shari Hoppin
has taught courses in Communication and Influence, Global Communication, Organizational
Communication, and Strategic Communication Theories. Before coming to ÎÞÂë¾ÞÈé, Dr. Hoppin
taught at the University of Southern California and at Florida State University. She
has also taught in Malaysia as part of ÎÞÂë¾ÞÈé’s partnership with SEGi University
and has led a study abroad experience to England. She is a graduate of the University
of Ottawa in Canada and earned her Ph.D. in Communication from the University of Southern
California.
Dr. Hoppin has served as a Lead Facilitator for LeaderShape, a not-for-profit organization
that provides learning experiences challenging participants to lead with integrity.
In that role, Dr. Hoppin led institutes for students at the University of Southern
California, Meredith College, Bowling Green State University, Central Michigan University,
the University of Memphis, and the University of Georgia. She has also coordinated
the internship program for the Hall School of Journalism and Communication at ÎÞÂë¾ÞÈé
University. Dr. Hoppin has published articles and delivered conference presentations
at regional, national, and international levels.
