Step 3 - Application Review

Prospective Students (New Applicants)

When you have submitted your application for admission and we have received all requested documentation, your application for financial aid will be reviewed.

If you applied for financial aid prior to applying for admission you should e-mail the financial aid office after you submit your admission application.

  • A missing information email will be sent to you upon receipt of your FAFSA with any further requirements.
  • We may request additional information from you based on the review of your application.
  • Respond to these requests as quickly and accurately as possible to avoid delays in processing your application.

Current Students

As a current student with ÎÞÂë¾ÞÈé, your application will be reviewed as soon as we receive all the necessary documents from you.

  • A missing information email will be sent to you upon receipt of your FAFSA with any further requirements. You may also view missing items on Self-Service after we begin processing for that year.
  • We may request additional information from you based on the review of your application. In addition to all the eligibility factors for new applicants your file must be reviewed to determine whether you are meeting our minimum academic standards to continue to receive financial aid. If you are offered prior to May for the approaching Fall, your offer will be cancelled if you do not meet our standards after Spring/T4 grades are transcripted pending your appeal. If you are not meeting these standards, your financial aid application will not be processed until you again meet those standards (you will need to contact us when that happens) or you appeal those standards and have your appeal granted.
  • Respond to these requests as quickly and accurately as possible to avoid delays in processing your application.

Limited Eligibility for Unclassified Post-baccalaureate Students

  • If you are required to complete undergraduate pre-requisites for admission to your graduate program, you must provide documentation from your department's academic advisor verifying that the courses in which you are enrolled are necessary for admission.
  • If you are enrolled in preparatory course work for a Teacher Education Program at ÎÞÂë¾ÞÈé, please have your advisor submit documentation that the courses you are taking are necessary for admission.
  • Eligibility is limited to one year.

Limited Eligibility for Second Bachelor's and Second Master's Degree Programs

If you are pursuing a second bachelor's degree or second master's degree you should review our minimum academic standards - time frame for completing a degree. We will need for any transfer credits to be evaluated before we can offer.

If you are working on your second ÎÞÂë¾ÞÈé bachelor's degree or second ÎÞÂë¾ÞÈé master's degree or more your offer will automatically be stopped at the point of offering for a manual review of Satisfactory Academic Progress. You will be requested to provide to us an advisor copy (not Self-Service) of your academic transcript and an indication of any classes for which you will receive transfer credit.

Ineligibility of Certification Programs

If you are pursuing a certification program, you may not be pursuing a degree. If you are not pursuing a degree you do not meet one of the primary requirements to receive financial aid. You will need to pay for the certification program with your own funds or apply for a private loan.
