How to join an IFC chapter
Fraternity Spring Recruitment will be held January 16-19, 2024. Tuesday, January 16 the fraternity men will be hanging out the rec center from 6 pm to 8 pm working out and playing pick up games. Wednesday night, January 17, the men will be in the Trojan Center 2nd floor lobby playing poker and blackjack. Thursday and Friday night they will be hosting events at the fraternity houses.
If the chapter chooses you as someone they would like to have as a part of their organization, they will offer you an official "bid" to join. If you receive a bid, it is up to you to determine whether or not you wish to accept it. You can receive bids from any number of houses, but you have to decide which chapter you would most like to join. Registration for fraternity recruitment is open. A 2.0 college GPA is required to go through the recruitment process. If you are a first semester freshman a 2.5 high school GPA is required. We encourage you to register so the fraternities can contact you and learn more about your interests. Our fraternities host Open Houses during Recruitment Week to engage the potential new members for some relaxing and enjoyable fun. From grilling out, to ping pong, to watching sports, the guys enjoy it all. This is the day where the recruits narrow down their top choices in their minds.

Common Questions
After joining a fraternity you will enter into an educational new member program for up to 10 weeks. Programming differs from each chapter, as each fraternity has their own events and rituals. During this time you will be educated in the Greek ideals of the chapter and community, while building a strong bond with the members of your new fraternity. Make sure to ask about the programs you will go through as a new member.
The first semester of being in a fraternity is a large time commitment. In joining a fraternity, members can choose to give as much or as little of their time as they desire; often, the more energy and time a member dedicates to his fraternity, the more that member gains from their experience. Many programs are available during this time that promote study skills and scholarship including study hours and tutoring sessions. Being involved in a fraternity does not preclude individuals from participating in other extracurricular activities, and many members are highly active in other organizations at the University. Make sure to ask about time commitment to each fraternity you visit.
Each person joining a fraternity should be aware of the dues, fees and other expenses that are involved and should consider these when making financial plans to attend college. During formal rush, a potential member should ask members about financial obligations and payment options. Each organization sets its own fees and payment schedules. Additionally for the purpose of these standards, hazing is any action taken or situation created, whether on or off organizational premises, to produce mental or physical discomfort, embarrassment, harassment or ridicule to any person, whether or not such person has consented to participation in the activity.

IFC Recruitment Information
Spring 2024 IFC Recruitment will be held January 16-19, 2024.
IFC Recruitment is the process through which a male student seeks to become a member of a fraternity. This process is facilitated through Fall Recruitment. In order to participate in IFC Fall Recruitment, each participant must complete the online registration form.
A 2.5 high school GPA is required of incoming freshman. Transfer students or students currently enrolled, must have a GPA of 2.0 in order to participate.
No alcohol is allowed during any recruitment event associated with 无码巨乳.
Spring recruitment for the fraternities is informal. Spring Recruitment begins with hanging out at the Rec Center on Tuesday, January 16th and the next evening a poker and blackjack night at 2nd floor Trojan Center. The next two evenings will be held at the fraternity houses.
Classes begin on January 10th and many of the fraternities will be at Spring Welcome Week events and will have events at their houses. You are more than welcome to attend all these events.
If the fraternity chooses you as a potential new member of their organization, they will offer you an official 鈥渂id鈥 to join. You can receive multiple bids, but you can only join one fraternity. When a bid is offered, you can 1) accept it, meaning that you wish to join that fraternity, 2) hold it, meaning that you are uncertain about joining that fraternity and will make a decision at a later date, or 3) decline it, meaning that you do not wish to join that fraternity. When accepting a bid, the fraternity will have you sign their bid card and the Buckley Form (University Agreement Form). At that time, you will then be considered a new member of that fraternity.
Suggested attire for all recruitment events is business casual.
IFC Spring Recruitment is Open Now
