by preparing teacher candidates in each high school subject area. Secondary Education

and I have learned so much throughout those two years. Each class is carefully taught

preparing future educators. They understand the difficulties that come when you are
placed to observe at an inner city school, a school that has low funding, or a school

a classroom educator and a University supervisor for a semester. This experience will
give you all the expertise needed to start your career in secondary education.
Beyond the Classroom According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of high school teachers is
projected to grow 5 percent from 2021 to 2031. About 77,900 openings for high school
teachers are projected each year, on average, over the decade. Many of those openings
are expected to result from the need to replace workers who transfer to different
